Today we went to Vienna starting with a 10am tour at the Opera House. Nice to have a proper tour guide rather than an audio device. He took us round the entire place including the massive back stage area.

Tonya wants to come back for the opera one day because everyone at the House are on their holidays in August. Afterwards we headed to the Palace to catch up with a friend of mine that I worked with over 10 years ago who is now living and working in Vienna. Manoj and his wife Jela gave us a tour of the palace grounds and up the hill to this great view 

Then time for a well earned drink!

Before heading back to the van we went to Prater to go on the famous wheel and dodgems. I can remember the scene with this wheel from watching the Third Man at school. 

Absolutely shattered by the time we got to the van so an easy day tomorrow travelling to Venice with a stop planned at Bad Durrnberg
