Day 23 – Gardaland

Today was Robert’s roadtrip surprise and we went to Italy’s biggest theme park Gardaland. Just 25 minutes easy walk around the lake and we were there. Robert headed straight for the Blue Tornado while Hannah and I did Jungle Rapids

We worked our way around the rides in the park. Busy but not crowded and the busiest rides had approx 30 minutes wait or less.

The kids have been keeping hydrated with their slush drink and I found they also sell beer in a similiar way. Costs just 3€ to refill with Peroni or 2.60€ with the kids slush stuff. After alot of persuasion I let Tonya buy me one

The park has a similar feel to Alton Towers but bigger and cleaner.Hannah loved the pirate ride and bought a pink bandana and eye patch afterwards.

By 7pm we had ridden everything at least once and a couple of things twice so decided to pause for some dinner. Had to be pizza for our last night in Italy

Tonya had lasagne for a change. After dinner it started to rain so the park became quieter and we hit the rides until the park closed at 11pm. Robert and I went on his favourite ride the raptor 4 times in a row

Dark and wet walk back to the van along the lake but the kids didn’t complain and I found the view across the lake rather beautiful.

Tomorrow we leave Italy and head 400km north to Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland
