Sluggish start after the late night at Gardaland but we were away by 10am to Lauterbrunnen. Good to see the back of Italy’s constant road tolls and instead just had to get a vignette for Switzerland.

Also picked up some food plus some sauces that will keep the kids happy!

Hit a traffic jam just before the Gotthard tunnel as there is a traffic light system in place to ensure there is no stopped traffic in the tunnel. 

Arrived at the campsite just after 4. Not sure if the prebooking for 4 nights meant we got a great elevated pitch but love the view. We had a wonder around the site and then tidied up the van and cooked dinner while the kids were in the playground.

Alot cooler here with jumpers needed this evening which makes for a welcome break from the heat of the last 3 weeks. Good wifi on the site too so a chance to catch up with family and friends back home.

Tomorrow morning we are planning a walk and looking around Lauterbrunnen before Tonya’s roadtrip surprise in the afternoon. Will also look to get rail tickets for Jungfraujoch for later in the week.
