Alot of early starters with General Admission tickets heading off to secure a good spot. There is a much bigger Dutch presence on the campsite with Max Verstappen reigniting their interest in F1. We waited for the site to get quieter then queued for our showers. The showers were definitely the poorest of all those we have come across on our roadtrip but the kids didn’t complain.
Hannah was not a fan her Mum’s brie cheese that was starting to stink the van up abit. Fortunately Tonya finished this today so that was the last we saw of it.

We were at the track just before lunch to see the Porsche qualifying before the main event of the day the F1 qualifying session. We were sitting at Gold 8 this year which is on the first corner of the track so would give us a good view of the start and then the cars going up Eau Rouge. Its the most popular stand and sells out first plus provides good shelter from the blazing sun today.

With the qualifying over we met up with our good neighbours Rebecca and David in the F1 village for a chat and compare notes before heading off to spend some money on F1 items. Hannah was at first going to get a Red Bull top but there was very little in stock for her size so she went with a hat in the end.

Robert got a model of a Red Bull F1 car while Hannah cooled down by treating herself to an ice cream and met up with a chap wearing an impressive hat

We decided to then watch the GP3 race before heading back to the van. Tonight meal was pasta and some local beer. Seems to be the only beer the local village bar sells and the same on the campsite. Not quite won over by this beer yet.

We had a quick game of canasta before heading to bed.
