Today we got up abit earlier as we wanted to leave to see the GP2 race. So we left the campsite at 9.30am after picking some rolls up from the campsite site tent/shop and then an easy 20 minute walk down the hill to the track. Definitely alot busier today with all the stands full and the surrounding hills absolutely packed already.
We headed straight to our seats to watch the GP2 race. It was a good race especially from the Red Bull team.

The build up to the race then started with the drivers parade.

It was a good race especially as it wasn’t raining so all the grid penalties, Max taking out both Ferraris at the first corner and a red flag caused by the Magnussen crash on Eau Rouge kept the action going and the kids interested. By the end it was Hannah supporting the Red Bull in second and Tonya rooting for Hamilton storming up to reach 3rd. With 2 laps to go and the places pretty much set we moved to the gate outside our seat block ready to run to watch the podium ceremony. You can see the 4 of us running on tv.

Walking back down the pitlane the Williams team were generously giving out their last remaining hospitality ice creams. Nice!

With the track now closed we walked to the top of Eau Rouge to where Magnussen had crashed earlier. Robert picked up some tyre rubber as a momento.

We walked through the traffic back to the van and were on the road by 6pm. Rough few miles but eventually hit the motorway on our way to pick up our car from Frankfurt and settle down for one last night in the campervan.
