Today we  stayed on site all day to catch up abit on things before moving on to Salzburg tomorrow. We don’t really stop until we reach Florence next Friday with Vienna, Venice and Verona trips planned.

Robert and I took the bus into town this morning to do the food shop while Hannah and Tonya did the washing. Hannah also did her diary while Robert did his postcard to himself that he will do from each major site.

Not wanting to appear obsessed with campsite shower blocks but alot can be said about a campsite from their quality. Our current site has a swiss style chalet look 

Camping Hopfensee is one of the most expensive on our schedule at 50€ a night but has so many activities for the kids indoors and out so its weatherproof with cinema, indoor pool, lake, park, football pitch and games hall with indoor football and trampolines. A family run site that shows they have alot of pride in. Hope the next few sites are abit more realistic for the kids especially before we hit Spa and its temporary shower blocks.

Quick lunch and then we went to the lake for a swim and give the kids a chance to try out their full face snorkelling masks they bought at Decathlon on the first day.

The van itself is great. Still finding the odd cubby hole or something the demo at the handover didn’t cover. The best thing is when arriving in a site you only need to pop the roof up and plug the electric in and you are done. The fridge setting is temperamental and swinging between needing to be on max to min but seems to have settled down now to a low setting. Think it might be down to how much food you have in it.
I went for a run tonight for the first time in a fortnight and feeling the extra holiday weight already so the time wasn’t anything special but the flat route past the Bavarian Alps was brilliant. There is a 6km loop around the lake edge that is so good that I went round twice. 

Tomorrow we will be in Salzburg for the day before heading on to Vienna.
